Advent Calander

This year I decided (well Kara and Mandy talked me in) to do an advent calander. Something christmasy for every day in December. I have always wanted to do all of these fun things to get in to the Christmas spirit and help me kids get reallt excited but I get busy and holiday anxiety gets to me and we miss out.Not this year my sisters and I made a list while we were together and I made up my calander. It was so much fun and the girls looked forward to it every day. Some days it was a big events and sometimes as small as reading a Christmas library book.
Here are a few highlights!

Grinch night. We had green snickerdoodles and "grinchtinis". After our treats we settled down to watch the Grinch and our DVD did not work. It was so sad but our friend Tom was there to save the day! He brought the grinch to our house. We had a graet movie and great company!

One of my moms friends invited all of us to go to a live nativity. It was really sweet and the girls loved the animals.

We ate really yummy cinnamon rolls one night for dinner.

We ate dinner in a tent one night. The best sloppy joes anyone could ask for.

We made Gingerbread houses one sunday night. We might have ended up using some hot glue and maybe Brynlee cried the whole time because she just wanted to eat all the candy.

Christmas parade

Rigby had a Christmas parade This year. I think we spent way more time getting ready for the parade then we did at the parade it self but the girls were pretty excited to see three grinches!

Setting up the tree

The girls were so excited to set up the tree this year! Payton even woke up a couple of times the week before in the middle of the night talking about the tree because she could barely contain her excitement! I made homemade hot chocolate in the crock pot and cookies. I was so excited about this homemade hot chocolate I even told Many to make it for her special put up the tree night. I lead her astray! It was bad! The cookies were great though and Steven and the girls had a great time making Santa breads out of the whipping cream. We always turn on Christmas music and let the girls hang as many eye leave ornaments as they want!
